    We try to keep the pantry filled with non-perishable foods such as beans and lentils, rice and pasta for the formerly chronically homeless residents of this Catholic Charities apartment residence community. Slow-cooker meal packages would be welcomed, but please no fresh fruits or vegetables, as these don't last well until they can be delivered. Collection boxes are located at the front doors and in the elevator pavilion of the Cathedral.

    Individual packages of fruit and other healthy snacks and juice provide nutritious treats for 16 children in the Center's after-school program. Sandwiches can be made for them from donated bread, peanut butter and jam, or tuna - remember to supply some mayonnaise, too. Fresh oranges and clementines are a special treat.
