Serving the parish for over one hundred years.
The beloved symbol that is embraced by the Altar Society is known as the Mystical Rose of Mary. At many of the apparition sites her presence has been accompanied by roses. Most notably roses were an important association at Guadalupe and Lourdes. Tradition also has her wedding robes enhanced by gold and white roses. The rose is the queen of flowers and stands for charity, the queen of virtues. Mary shines as the fairest flower in the Garden of God.

The Altar Society serves the Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish through financial support, intercessory prayer, friendship and spiritual growth in all aspects of community life.
